Becoming a Writer
Currently, the Wiki has to be "private" for the time being. Anyone can make an account, but new accounts must be "approved" and become a "Writer." This is because the wiki kept getting spammed with link spam bots. When I first created the Wiki back in 2020, literally thousands of spam bots destroyed all the work we had done. It was so bad that manually removing everything they had done would have taken far too long, so I had to start again fresh. The second (and current) version of the wiki has this protection for the time being to prevent any spam. Even with a Captcha, they still somehow make accounts. It seems like these spam bots actually only target inactive MediaWiki sites, because as of recently, there has been no new spam bots making account.
So, for the time being, if you want to help contribute, follow these steps:
- Make an account.
- Go on the Discord Server and ping/DM @MeloNinja asking to be a Wiki writer.
- That's it!
Eventually, if I deem that it's safe to, I'll get rid of this process, so anyone may be free to make an account and start editing.
Rules
I want this Wiki to be somewhat professional, if that makes sense. In that sense, I would like the Wiki to loosely follow Wikipedia's Manual of Style.[1] I definitely do not want to be as strict as Wikipedia, however. If your first draft of a page has a ton of spelling and grammar mistakes, that's fine! Not everyone speaks perfect English, especially if it's not your first language. Anyone on the Wiki can proofread and make edits to your page, that's what makes wikis great.
Obviously though, there's things I won't stand on my Wiki. Doing any of these will get you permanently removed, no debate.
- Blatant vandalism. I know Crazy Frog's a meme and all, but if you ask to join just to start screwing up our work, it's not funny.
- Posting plain gibberish or anything unrelated to Crazy Frog.
- Exception: Your user page I really don't care what you do with. Have fun with that!
- Uploading anything illegal. Self explanatory.
- Being problematic or malicious. Like, edit warring, fighting, removing others' work without reason.
Guidelines
- Try to keep a somewhat professional writing style in English.
- lower case and no puncuation and bad speling and casualk talk is not really what im looking for here. it make things look kinda sloppy
- That being said, if English isn't your first language, don't be discouraged! Any edits you make here are still greatly appreciated!
- Remember to use Wikilinks in your writing, where you link to other pages with double square brackets.
- Example: Crazy Frog is the main character in Crazy Frog Racer. He races with his friends.
- This helps a ton with Search Engine Optimization.
- Upload lots of pictures! Our goal is documenting Crazy Frog's past and present!
- Bonus points if they're pictures of your own Crazy Frog memorabilia!
- Galleries are our favorite!
- Currently used official artwork, such as character renders, should be kept at a lower resolution at most 500px in width or height.

Ready to start contributing? You can start by creating a User Page! You can see some examples here. Just click your name in red to start creating a page. Add some info about yourself, maybe add your Discord tag or other socials.
